Abstract

This article examines the psychological and pedagogical significance of practice-oriented learning technologies in fostering professional motivation among university students. Based on theoretical analysis and synthesis of scientific literature, the structural components of motivation (cognitive, emotional, and behavioral) are identified, along with mechanisms for enhancing students’ professional orientation and the factors influencing their professional self-determination within a practice-oriented educational environment. The study substantiates that the integration of practical experience, reflective activities, and learning through students’ own engagement constitutes a key condition for the formation of sustainable professional motivation. It is emphasized that the effectiveness of the learning process is determined not only by the quality of knowledge acquisition and competency development, but also by the level of academic motivation, which reflects learners’ aspirations for growth, self-improvement, and high educational outcomes. A high level of motivation strengthens students’ intrinsic drive for cognitive activity and professional advancement, which ultimately determines the overall success of the educational process. Therefore, the development of academic and professional motivation is considered an essential prerequisite for improving the effectiveness of training future specialists in higher education.
