The article examines the theoretical foundations, content, and specific features of managing the scientific and methodological work of foreign language teachers in the context of the modernization of the contemporary education system. The relevance of the study is determined by the increasing demands for the quality of specialist training, the digitalization of the educational environment, the introduction of innovative pedagogical technologies, and the need for continuous professional development of teachers. The essence, structure, and main functions of scientific and methodological activity are defined, emphasizing its role in improving the educational process and enhancing the quality of foreign language teaching. The study analyzes modern approaches to organizing scientific and methodological work, including competence-based, systemic, innovative, and personality-activity approaches, revealing their potential for developing teachers’ professional competence and creative capacity. Particular attention is paid to the specific features of managing the methodological activities of foreign language teachers, which are associated with the continuous updating of linguistic knowledge, the mastery of modern educational technologies, the use of digital resources, and the implementation of interactive teaching methods. The main directions of management activities, including planning, organization, coordination, motivation, monitoring, and evaluation of scientific and methodological work, are considered. The study identifies the conditions that ensure the effectiveness of management in this area, such as systematic and scientifically grounded methodological activities, the creation of professional teacher communities, the development of a motivating professional environment, support for innovative initiatives, and the use of modern digital technologies. Based on a theoretical analysis, the necessity of establishing an integrated system for managing scientific and methodological work is substantiated. Such a system is aimed at enhancing teachers’ professional skills, improving the quality of the educational process, and ensuring the competitiveness of educational institutions in modern conditions.
