Abstract

In today’s digital era, the Internet provides diverse opportunities for delivering educational content, including images, videos, audio materials, infographics, animations, and other multimedia resources. Among these, cognitive and interactive content plays a pivotal role in fostering student engagement. These resources create favorable conditions for integrating longreads into the educational process. This article explores the concept of the longread as an innovative instructional method within the framework of contemporary educational paradigms, emphasizing its relevance to digitalization and personalized learning strategies. The study demonstrates that longreads enhance deep comprehension of learning materials, support the development of critical and analytical thinking, and foster independent information processing and media literacy. Particular attention is given to the multimedia component of longreads, their capacity to stimulate learning motivation, sustain cognitive interest, and promote interdisciplinary connections.

The findings highlight the pedagogical potential of longreads as an innovative approach to organizing educational content. In practical terms, they enable the creation of interactive learning environments, increase instructional efficiency, and contribute to the effective implementation of a competency-based approach.
