Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the theoretical foundations of leadership styles in modern organizations and their impact on organizational effectiveness. The study examines the characteristics, advantages, and limitations of management styles through a comparative analysis of classical and contemporary leadership theories and identifies their role within the organizational environment. The theoretical framework is based on the concepts developed in the works of Kurt Lewin, Rensis Likert, Robert Blake and Jane Mouton, Fred Fiedler, as well as Daniel Goleman, Bernard Bass, James MacGregor Burns, and Robert Greenleaf. The research methods included theoretical and methodological analysis, comparative analysis, systematization, and scientific generalization. The article demonstrates that there is no universal effective leadership style; its effectiveness depends on organizational culture, structure, strategic goals, and external environmental factors. Classical models reveal the structural aspects of management, whereas contemporary theories emphasize emotional intelligence, value-based management, and the importance of human capital.

The key characteristics of effective leadership include flexibility, adaptability to changing conditions, a high level of emotional intelligence, and the ability to build partnership-based relationships with employees. The research findings substantiate the necessity of a conscious selection and integration of leadership styles in management practice.
