The relevance of this research lies in exploring methods and technologies for reducing evaporation from the surface of a settling pond, which will reduce the volume of dry beaches that contribute to environmental degradation in the region. The task is complex, as the surface of the settling pond is tens of square kilometers, complicating the choice of a practical implementation method. A literature and patent search revealed no effective methods for reducing water loss from the large surface area of toxic water bodies.
The problem we've posed, which requires evaporative insulation or coating over a surface area of tens of square kilometers, is unique to the literature we've reviewed. This further demonstrates that the problem posed in this paper is enormous, requiring the development and implementation of highly complex and original, unconventional scientific and technical solutions.
