Abstract

This article examines the psychological opportunities for developing the socio-economic competencies of future preschool educators within the context of contemporary higher pedagogical education. The relevance of the study is determined by the growing demand for highly qualified educators who possess not only professional pedagogical knowledge but also economic literacy, critical thinking, decision-making skills, and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing socio-economic conditions. The purpose of the research is to identify the psychological and pedagogical conditions that contribute to the effective development of socio-economic competencies among future educators. The study is based on competency-based, personality-oriented, and activity-based approaches and includes a comprehensive analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature. The research methods comprise theoretical analysis, comparison, synthesis, pedagogical observation, diagnostic assessment, and evaluation of experimental learning outcomes. Particular attention is paid to the development of economic thinking, financial literacy, communication skills, strategic planning, teamwork, and responsible decision-making. Interactive educational technologies, including case studies, economic simulations, project-based learning, business games, and collaborative training sessions, were implemented to enhance students' practical competencies. The findings demonstrate that these educational approaches significantly improve students' ability to apply theoretical knowledge in real-life situations, strengthen their professional motivation, increase economic independence, and develop communication, leadership, and analytical skills. The study also confirms that psychological support and interactive learning environments positively influence students' personal and professional development. It is concluded that the systematic integration of psychological mechanisms and innovative teaching methods into teacher education programs contributes to the formation of competitive, socially responsible, and economically competent preschool educators capable of meeting the challenges of modern education and the labor market.
