The study analyzes foreign experience in the functioning of prosecution services and reviews the main stages in the development of the Kazakh prosecution system during the Soviet and post-Soviet periods. Particular attention is paid to the implementation of the supervisory function of the prosecutor's office, ensuring legality in criminal proceedings, and protecting human and civil rights and freedoms. The article explores contemporary trends in the development of prosecutorial activities in the context of constitutional reforms, digitalization of public administration, and modernization of the law enforcement system. The powers of the prosecutor's office in coordinating the activities of law enforcement agencies, preventing offenses, and ensuring the rule of law are examined. Legislative changes aimed at increasing the independence and effectiveness of prosecutorial bodies, strengthening mechanisms of prosecutorial oversight, and expanding guarantees for the protection of constitutional rights are analyzed. Based on the research, proposals are formulated for further improvement of legislation and enhancement of prosecutorial effectiveness in the context of modernization of Kazakhstan's legal system and strengthening the principles of the rule of law.
