Abstract

The article discusses the issues of choosing a rational algorithm for the functioning of the in-pipe profiler "Reud", designed to diagnose geometric defects in oil pipelines. The features of the formation and processing of diagnostic information during pipeline inspection are analyzed, including an assessment of the intensity of the data flow and the volume of recorded information. A primary processing algorithm is proposed based on the selective recording of signals when the threshold value of the pipe radius change is exceeded. The choice of a diagnostic parameter and threshold criteria for detecting defects is justified. It is shown that the application of the developed algorithm can significantly reduce the redundancy of the input data stream and reduce the memory requirements of the device. Signal processing methods and principles of defect recognition are considered, ensuring an increase in the efficiency and accuracy of diagnostics of the technical condition of pipelines.
