The article explores the directions of digitalization in the transport industry. The relevance of research on digitalization in the transport sector is determined by the fact that the use of digital technologies in the transport industry ensures the competitiveness of transport companies. In this context, studying the impact of digital technologies on production processes in this sector is of great practical importance. In the scientific article, the purpose of the study is to identify the most significant manifestations of the impact of digitalization on the transport sector, as well as the trends and nature of this impact. The article identifies the key areas of the digitalization process in the transport sector, highlighting the specific features of robotization in transportation that distinguish this sector from other areas of economic activity. The conclusion is made that in the current conditions of transport production, the processes of robotization and the implementation of automated systems in transportation can cover almost all aspects of transportation, from logistics to customer service. In fact, modern digital technologies have such potential that they allow for the creation of autonomous vehicles for all types of transportation. Digital transformation plays a leading role in the development of the transportation industry among all areas of scientific and technological progress. Moreover, the implementation of digital technologies is much faster than the stages of previous technological revolutions.
